Now that the big holiday is over, what can I recycle during this time of year?
- According to the EPA, approximately 33 million live Christmas trees are sold in North America each year. After the holidays, look for ways to recycle your tree instead of sending it to a landfill.
- Return plastic bags to stores for recycling.
- Recycle holiday cards, catalogs and possibly wrapping paper.
- If you received a new electronic item for the holiday, the old item can be recycled in some communities.
Contact your local government to see what they collect.
