In April, I went to Wingate University to table at their annual Earth Day festival. We took time to do a survey and focus group about the RE3.org commercials.
The results are:
Favorite to Least Favorite for the commercials with comments from students included:

A: Liked the fact and slogan.
Q: How does this motivate you to recycle?
A: It is motivational without a guilty message. It is informational but not preachy.

Q: What did you like about this commercial?
A: It is funny and informative.
Q: How does it keep your attention?
A: No cheese.

Q: What did you like about this commercial?
A: It was funny/hilarious.
Q: How does this motivate you to recycle?
A: The guilt message may work but only for the short term.
Q: How well does it relay the recycling message?
A: It would help to know where, how and what to recycle. We should include more stats.

A: Good.

A: Don’t think we should use sex even though sex sells. Shouldn’t use an “alternative” girl.

A: It doesn’t.

A: Men could identify with this.

A: The end was confusing. You need to keep recycling on a man’s mind.
