Carbon Conscious Consumer Campaign

Guest blogger – New intern, Hannah

Let's face it. We spend a lot of money on bottled drinks, especially bottled water. Last year Americans spent $15 billion on bottled water and are projected to spend another billion this year.
Not only are we spending a lot of money on buying bottled water, but we're also hurting the environment and being poor stewards of our resources. (Tap water anyone?)

Visit http://c3.newdream.org/ and check out this month's "Break the Bottled Water Habit" pledge.

The pledge is part of a campaign by Carbon Conscious Consumer, which is devoted to challenging citizens to establish "climate-friendly" daily habits. C3 believes in being part of the solution to climate change by changing your habits and inspiring your friends to do the same. Spreading the word can also increase your chances of winning cool prizes.

Here's what you can do to Break your Bottled Water Habit:
1. Buy a non-toxic reusable bottle for on-the-go.

2. Get a good filter for your tap so you don't have to worry about contaminated drinking water.

3. Convince your friends to do the same.

So get on with it! Visit the site, sign the pledge and start enjoying your crisp, refreshing, filtered tap water! It sure is an easy way to reduce your carbon footprint and save money!

Editorial Note: Last month its pledge drive was to reduce junk mail. Even though that campaign ended, you can still make the change by clicking here.
