What’s up on Twitter

This is the first in (hopefully) a series of blog posts about some interesting recycling information that’s going viral on Twitter. If you’re not on Twitter but are thinking about it, be sure to friend @RE3org and see if we’re as clever as we think we are.

@smart2begreen (national) tweeted and linked to the NCSU Waste Reduction and Recycling Office’s report on its tailgating recycling program’s efforts. “WE Recycle” has collected about 20 tons of recycling beverage containers each season since 2003.

@fanhunting (Greensboro) tweeted a blog post from makecharlottegreen.com about recycling bras. The Bra Recyclers (brarecycling.org) will take gently used bras and give them to women in need.

@undercurrentgso, @Monumental13 and @gsossa tweeted about North Carolina’s plastic bottle landfill ban.

@OptOutPhoneBook (national) linked to this blog’s entry on the Recycle More NC Web site draft. Have you seen it?

And @RE3org recently quoted the shrewd Michael Scott, regional manager of Dunder Mifflin-Sabre : "Too much change is a bad thing. Ask the climate."
