Ecoville Environmental Benefits Calculator Ranking for N.C. Counties

Using 2009 annual report recycling data, DPPEA ranked North Carolina counties in relation to how much energy each has saved by recycling. The following rankings, taken from the Ecoville site, take into account only common household recyclables, and do not include items such as construction and demolition debris, yard waste, household hazardous waste or electronic material. Therefore, the counties who rank the highest for recycling may not correlate to the highest Ecoville Environmental Benefits Calculator ranking. Communities with zero data below possibly didn’t meet the weight threshold required to calculate energy saved.
