With the sun shining bright and summer vacation almost here, this is a great time for your family to make a trip to Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh to learn about solar energy. Power Flower just opened in the Castaway Cove Kids Garden and gives children the opportunity to see up close how solar energy works. At the Power Flower exhibit, visitors will learn about the importance of using renewable resources for the generation of power.
This 22-foot tall sun-powered spinning flower is sponsored by Progress Energy and designed by ClearScapes in partnership with Southern Energy Management.
