The town of Kernersville has created a great campaign called “Supersize it.” It provides residents large roll carts (32-64 gallon) for recycling bins instead of small curbside 18-gallon recycling bins.

Kernersville recycled an unprecedented 99.56 tons of waste in November 2006 which is the highest amount since the inception of the residential recycling program. The amount recycled last month was twice as much for this same time two years ago.
