Local Government Recycling Grants

NC DPPEA is pleased to release the request for proposals for the 2010 Community Waste Reduction and Recycling Grants (CWRARs). The CWRAR grant round is open to all North Carolina local governments, solid waste authorities and councils of government seeking to expand or implement new waste reduction and recycling projects in the state. There are two award categories for the grant round this year: standard award and large purchase award.

The standard award has a maximum award of $25,000 and requires a cash match of 20% and the large purchase award has a maximum award of $40,000 and is only available for projects with a total budget of $50,000 or more. Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on March 26, 2010 and preliminary awards should be announced in mid-April 2010.
