The Wake County Solid Waste Management Division is now offering monthly tours of the South Wake Landfill and its associated facilities to the general public. Tours are offered on the second Monday of each month at 2 p.m. Reservations are required and space is limited. To make a reservation or for more details, go to this link or call (919) 856-6006.
Could your office do this? There is nothing more rewarding than taking someone to the face of a landfill and seeing their eyes bug out when they realize “this is where my (and everyone else’s) trash goes.”
