Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working with professional nonprofit organizations, including previous responsibilities within most of the following areas: database management, accounting, conference/event coordination, and experience in the field of recycling and/or solid waste management.
-Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
-Must be self-motivated and capable of motivating volunteers.
-Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner.
-Proficient at time management, prioritization and execution of multiple projects simultaneously in a diverse environment.
-Knowledge of Filemaker Pro 7, proficiency in Quick Books Professional and MS Office. MS Publisher and MS FrontPage preferred.
-Three years or more experience in business accounting & bookkeeping. Bondable a plus.
Salary: $28,000.00/year

Solid Waste Planner/Outreach Coordinator
The Coastal Environmental Partnership is seeking a planner/outreach coordinator to serve the citizens of Carteret, Craven and Pamlico counties. Duties will include coordinating and preparing the ten-year solid waste plan; overseeing the scrap tire disposal program; planning and implementing Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics collection events; conducting site visits to waste generators to advise on recycling and disposal options; providing technical advice on waste disposal and determining waste suitability; and preparing outreach materials and conducting classroom presentations and group tours.
Minimum qualifications:
-A degree from a four-year college in a field related to the duties of the position
-Experience sufficient to understand the work of a solid waste disposal operation and answer relevant questions from customers and citizens, usually associated with one to three years experience
-A valid driver’s license
Hiring Range: $36,385 - $42,171 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
