APNEP – School Recycling Grants - Due March 6

The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program (APNEP) is seeking proposals for Schoolyard-Based Demonstration Projects that promote responsible stewardship of the natural resources of the Albemarle-Pamlico region. The APNEP Citizens’ Advisory Committee will select projects from river basins included in the APNEP program area (Neuse, Tar-Pamlico, Roanoke, Chowan, or Pasquotank) and set funding levels for the proposals. A maximum amount of $12,000 is available per project. The committee may fund several projects within a given basin.

Who is eligible to apply?
The following agencies and organizations are eligible to apply for and receive funds: Educational institutions (public and private), State and local governments, Interstate and intrastate agencies, Nonprofit organizations and institutions.

Application forms and information on the grant program can be requested from the APNEP office or downloaded from the program Web site at http://www.apnep.org, under What’s new.
APNEP will accept proposals for consideration of funding until 5 p.m., March 6, 2009.
